Agusan del Sur, officially referred to as the Province of Agusan del Sur (Cebuano: Habagatang Agusan; Butuanon: Probinsya hong Agusan del Sur; Tagalog: Timog Agusan), is a province situated in the Caraga region of Mindanao, Philippines. Its capital is the municipality of Prosperidad. It shares its borders: to the northwest with Agusan del Norte and Misamis Oriental; to the east with Surigao del Sur; to the southeast with Davao Oriental; to the mid-south with Davao de Oro; to the southwest with Davao del Norte; and to the mid-west with Bukidnon. Notably, it ranks as the fourth largest province in the country in terms of land area, covering approximately 3,856 square miles.
