Sorsogon, is a province situated in the Bicol Region of the Philippines. Positioned as the southernmost province in Luzon, it is divided into fourteen municipalities (towns) and one city. The provincial capital is Sorsogon City, which was previously composed of the towns of Sorsogon and Bacon. Sorsogon shares its northern border with the province of Albay.
Geographically, Sorsogon is located at the tip of the Bicol Peninsula, with its southeastern coast facing the island of Samar across the San Bernardino Strait, and its southwestern aspect neighboring Ticao Island. The residents of Sorsogon commonly refer to themselves as Sorsoganons.
